Saved by the bell, two shipwrecked Koalas are able to rescue themselves onto a small, idyllic and deserted island, somewhere in the pacific. At first it appears to be their personal paradise. However, it does not take too long until their amiable nature turn things in a different direction.
The look is inspired by paintings of Walton Ford and botanic drawings from the nintheenth century. All characters and props are created in Maya, Zbrush, Mudbox as well as Photoshop, and rendered with Renderman. The Rig is a combination of an animation body rig using Jan Berger “Modular Character System” and a standard maya based facial rig .
